Answer a staff survey
For every employee: find a survey your company has opened, answer it, and know what is and is not recorded about you.
Before you start
- You can see My WorkSurveys in the left menu.
- Your company has opened a survey that includes you. You are told in Zonitix (the bell), and by email if your company has email set up.
Answer
Step 1: Open Surveys
Go to My WorkSurveys. Open surveys are listed under “For you to answer”. One you have not answered is marked “Waiting for you”.
Step 2: Click Answer
The survey opens with the line “Your answers are stored without your name. Skip anything you would rather not answer.”
A question with numbered buttons asks how far you agree, from “Strongly disagree” to “Strongly agree”, or how likely you are to recommend something, from “Not at all likely” to “Extremely likely”. Other questions have a box to write in.
Step 3: Send
You may skip any question, but you must answer at least one. Click “Send my answers”.
What is recorded about you
Step 4: Your answers carry no name
Your answers are stored without your name and without the time you sent them. Separately, Zonitix records only that you have answered, which is what stops a second answer.
The people running the survey see combined results only, and only once enough people have answered. What you write in a text box is shown to them word for word, in a mixed order with everyone else’s. So avoid writing anything that would identify you.
What you should see
A green message: “Thank you. Your answers were sent.”
The survey’s row now shows “Answered” and has no “Answer” button.
If something goes wrong
- "No open surveys. When one opens you are told by email and it shows here."
- No survey that includes you is open. There is nothing to do.
- The Send my answers button is greyed out
- Answer at least one question. You do not have to answer them all.
- A survey you were told about is no longer in the list
- It has been closed, or its closing date has passed. Nobody can answer it any more.
- You want to change or withdraw your answers
- That is not possible. Because your answers are stored without your name, nobody, including HR, can find which ones were yours.
- There is no Surveys entry in your menu
- Your company’s plan does not include surveys.
