See your team as a manager

For anyone with people reporting to them: see who is in your team, what training and policies each person still has open, and the job details HR lets a manager see.

For: ManagersPlan: All plans; open training, policies to sign, goals and shared documents show only where your plan includes them

Before you start

  • At least one person whose manager is set to you. “My Team” is built from who reports to whom, not from a role, so it appears in your sidebar by itself once someone reports to you.
  • Nothing else. You do not need any HR or administrator rights.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open My Team

Go to My WorkMy Team. The labels beside the title count your team: for example “4 direct” for people who report straight to you, and “6 further down” for the people who report to them.

  2. Step 2: Read the tiles

“People” is the size of your team. Where your plan includes training or policy signing, three more tiles show “Open items” (training to do and policies to sign), “Overdue” and “Next due”, the nearest date in your team.

  3. Step 3: Read the list

Each row is one person, with the day they started and their status. The “Open” column shows labels such as “2 overdue”, “1 open” or “All done”, plus dates that are coming up such as the end of a probation. People with something overdue are listed first.

If the person has anything open, a small arrow sits at the end of their row. Click it to unfold what they still have open, one line each: “Training” or “Sign”, the name of the item, and when it is due. Rows with something overdue start unfolded.

  4. Step 4: Open one person

Click anywhere else on the row. A window with the person’s name opens. On the left are the job facts: “Work email”, “Reports to”, “Started”, “Employment type”, “Work location”, “Level”, and the probation or contract end date if one is set.

On the right, “Open now” lists what they still have to do; it appears only when something is open. “Goals” is always open (Team and Advanced). “Job history” and “Equipment” are headings you click to unfold. “Finished training” and “Documents shared with you” unfold the same way and appear only when there is something in them. You can add a goal for the person from here; see Set goals.

  5. Step 5: Follow up

You can see a person’s training and policies here but you cannot mark them done; each person finishes their own under My WorkMy to-do. Each person is already reminded by email, so a word from you is the useful extra.

If someone asks how, point them to Do a training course you were given or Sign a policy.

A manager never sees personal details, emergency contacts or pay: those are kept by HR and are not sent to this screen. A document appears under “Documents shared with you” only when HR set it to be visible to the person’s manager, and each download is recorded.

What you should see

Everyone below you in the reporting line is listed, your direct reports and the people under them.

A person with nothing outstanding shows “All done”.

If something goes wrong

My Team is not in your sidebar, or the page says "No one reports to you"
Nobody has you set as their manager. Ask HR or an administrator to set the manager on each person, on their employee file or on the org chart.
Someone is missing from, or wrongly in, your team
The list follows the manager recorded for each person. Ask HR to correct that person’s manager.
There is no Open column, only "Coming up"
Zonitix could not read training or policy status, or your plan includes neither. The rest of the page still works.
A date or job detail is wrong
These facts are kept by HR. Ask them to correct it on the person’s employee file.

Still stuck? See When something goes wrong, or Contact Zonitix support.
